Hue Weather
Hue is known for its nostalgic regal grandeur in the form of imperial citadels, forbidden cities, and elaborate crumbling tombs. A sleepy town alongside the equally quiet Perfume River, Hue is an integral part of Vietnam’s history and heritage. It is a must-visit destination that should be present on any itinerary and can be visited all year round, with Azerai La Residence Hue the perfect base to start your exploration.
Hue Weather Overview
Hue sits on the east side of the Truong Son Mountain Range, 92 km away from Da Nang and 121 km from Hoi An, two popular central destinations in Central Vietnam. The weather in Hue is different from Hoi An and Da Nang, with the dry season lasting from March to August, and having the advantage of being much cooler from December to February.
Best Time to Visit Hue
Azerai La Residence Hue is a resort for all seasons. The best period to stay is between March and August where travellers are rewarded with clear, sunny days and can be seen cruising the Perfume River on a dragon boat headed to Emperor Minh Mang’s tomb, cycling to Emperor Tu Duc’s tomb and the Imperial Citadel, or travelling by traditional cyclo to Emperor Khai Dinh’s mausoleum.
During this season, romantic garden houses are in full bloom and orchards in small villages are filled with ripe fruit. Travellers are recommeded to book a room or suite at Azerai La Residence Hue in advance as it a popular time to visit.
Notes on the Rainy Season
The shoulder season begins with the first rain in September, although it is still a pleasant time to visit Hue due to the decrease in humidity and the cooler temperatures. Rainfall increases in October and November with potential for flooding. From December to the end of the February rainfall levels taper off, giving with to occasional flashes of dramatic lightning and cool, crisp days. During this period, travellers can enjoy plenty of sun and warm weather, however, if the weather does not lend itself to activities outdoors, the award-winning spa treatments at Le Spa will nourish and rejuvinate. Alternatively, join Chef Hai and his team on an unforgettable cooking class.
