Imperial Citadel – Minh Mang’s Tomb – Tu Duc’s Tomb – Khai Dinh’s Tomb – Thien Mu Pagoda


Depart from your hotel to the Imperial Citadel where the Nguyen Dynasty ruled between 1802 and 1945. Continue to the Hue Royal Fine Art Museum which displays a variety of antique objects from the former Royal Palaces.

Continue to the mausoleum of the former Emperor Minh Mang which is located in a tranquil setting of gardens and ponds. For lunch, try some renowned Hue cuisine in a local restaurant or if you prefer our team will prepare a Hue set menu at Le Parfum restaurant.

Following, visit the Mausoleum of Tu Duc. Built decades before its occupant’s death, the mausoleum was used as Tu Duc’s retreat venue before becoming the Emperor’s final resting place. Next, visit Khai Dinh’s Tomb, which is traditional Vietnamese in design with a European touch making it unique from the other tombs in Hue.

Continue to visit Thien Mu Pagoda overlooking the Perfume River. Constructed in 1601, the pagoda with its seven storied tower represent seven reincarnations of Buddha is the unofficial symbol of Hue.

Finish up the day by taking a leisurely boat trip on the romantically named Perfume River before heading back to your hotel.
